So, this has been a long time. Since my last post, I came back to Michigan, moved in with my roommates, changed my major (poli sci and business now), and am finishing out the semester. Two 10 page papers!!! ARGGHHHH, and that by the way is on top of the finals for the other classes, which include a 5 pg paper, an exam, another 1 page paper, and a presentation. Yikes

So, today officially started Othello tech for me. After a week of changeover from Sleuth, I handed over my board op job for As You Like It to Mike, who will no doubt enjoy the very funny Chris as much as I (this actor does more Improv than "who's line."

Othello is long. Very long. 3 hours and 15 min. long.

On the up side, I will be running board for Othello as opposed to the giant flashlight in My Fair Lady. Sorry Mike...but hey, spot op isn't so bad.

Give me a call if you are so inclined. Otherwise, I will call you as soon as I have time for a life.

What can I say about Penn Shakes...it is hard work sometimes, but then we tech. I have heard myself referred to as sparks, squints, and FITWES (that is Fucking in the Way Electricians, if you didn't already know). I personally have also been referred to as darlin', hunny, sweety, sweetheart, girlie, and doll. If you want to get me pissed real fast, use one of those terms.

proud moment: I was one beer shy of drinking Mike under the table. I must work on this.

There is a dance party in the middle of snow white...i missed that from the movie.

I love the zoo. and mike needs to get his ass out of bed and take a shower, so we can go, to the zoo. because its our day off, and i like zoo.

I will paraphrase a speech given by Utah Phillips,

When two children fight on the playground, we break it up, scold them, and make them apoligize, because hurting another is wrong whether or not they deserve it. Then we watch the news and make them take history classes where they are taught that it is okay to kill to prove that killing's wrong. I am not condemning all war, although I think we commonly look to war as the easiest solution, as opposed to the contingency plan, but I do feel that we fight far too often without looking at peaceful methods...Imagine that, using peace, to achieve peace....go figure. Lead by example what?

Why is the U.S. so afraid of nuclear war. I am forced to laugh at the people who justify our involvement in foreign countries due to the belief that we could be the target of nuclear war. It's preposterous. It is a bullshit excuse the executive branch of this country is feeding you to justify their unjustified actions! Get a clue!

Yes, other countries may hate us, I don't blame them. Other countries may have nuclear weapons with our names on them, I don't blame them. But why do we think WE are the only one's afraid?

The U.S. gov't has nuclear weapons, that is no secret. How many of them do you think are prepared for a trip to the middle east? I would argue a great deal. So again, who's afraid?

Why are we so afraid when only one nation in the entire world has proven that they will use nuclear weapons?

We are the unjustified bullies in this game, not the victims. Get over yourself.

I have been a lifeguard since I was 16. I started taking swimming lessons when I was in kindergarden. Why is it then that I continuously feel as if I am drowning? It's the second full week of school and I already feel overwhelmed and behind. I feel as if I have this pressure on all sides of me, and there is nowhere to breathe.

Where is help and salvation when I need it? Where is that feeling of peace I have built up in my mind to be so much like heaven?

I need to start over...
I need to feel like I haven't fucked everything up, just for one day...
I need to not be 800 days behind in everything that I do...
I need to not be stressed all the time...(a.k.a. uber-bitch)...
I need to focus (no, not in the French-Canadian way)...

So, here's the deal...I am going home for three weeks, to be on my own, a hermit in my own little world. If it is not too much to ask, I would like to be forgotten. When I come back to school in January, forget I have fucked up at all.

I just got locked out of my room. I need to stop being scatterbrained. We have decided to keep our door locked when we sleep at night and when we are not in our room. The problem with this is that I do not remember my keys (even though they are on a lanyard hanging from the door knob). GRRRRRRRR

On a happier note, I got a package from my mom today! She sent cookies and fun stuff for Emma and I! YAY!!
